ST JOHN

On June 27th we went to room 16 to learn about what to do encase of an emergency. There was a girl  named Nikki and she Thought  us how to do c.p.r. and what to do if someone was unconscious. We also learnt about what to do if someone had a stroke you can use fast it stands for Face Arm Speech Take action and. D.R.S.A.B.C. that stands for Danger Response Send for help Airway Breathing C.p.r. when you use C.p.r a good way to know you are doing it right is to hum row row row your boat. you never know what could happen so it is good to know what to do in case of an emergency.

Did you know that when some one is unconscious you should never leave them on there back you should turn them on there side by putting there  right hand up by there ear then the left hand over there belly. Then there left leg up then you want to place your hands on there knee and shoulder then turn theme over. Then once you have tuned them over you want to put there left hand out on the floor and then there left leg out on the floor like a break. It will help them to not fall back the reason you put them on their side is so that if they are sick it doesn’t go back done. And possibly make the situation worse or choke and then stop breathing. But on there side if they are sick it will just come out. you should also get two knuckles and rube them on there collarbone.

you should learn about stuff like this because you never know when you have to deal with something like this.

The amazing Epro-8

On Wednesday the 14th of June, the year 7-8 of Belfast school competed against each other to have a chance to get into the 2 Epro-8 teams. They did class competitions for the coordinator to pick 10 top students from each class. On Thursday, the 10 top students from each class competed against each other. After a couple hours, 2 teams of 4 were then selected to compete in the external competitions.

Isabelle, one of the successful contestants had something to say “ At first I thought it would be boring and awkward but it turned out to be fun”. They had to work hard to problem solve, communicate and work within a time limit!

Epro-8 was a huge hit!

Last year one team got into the semi finals and Miss Wing said “Im very excited to see how well the teams have done this year’’ the teams will be competing at Kaiapoi north on Tuesday 27th of June good luck to all the teams at the competition.

Hello today we had to make a post about the Epro-8 challenge that is  happining on the 27th of June if you dont know what the epro8 Challenge is then i will tell you

Samoen week

hello today we did this reading task about Samoan week. There were these different tasks that you had to do. so i did it in my book. It was also really easy to do it didn’t take long to do some of the tasks were hard to do but the longer you looked at the task for and read it more it was easy  to understand and do. My favorite task to do was the miss and match it was really tricky  cause you didn’t know which English word went with the Samoen word but it was fun.

Rights and responsibilities

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are all people living in one world. As human beings, we have a number of rights and responsibilities to ourselves and each other. `

What are responsibilities Responsibilities when you follow the rules like wearing a Seatbelt in the car wearing helmets when on bikes being kind to others following all those kind of rules

What are rights

Right are  when you can go to the mall supermarket park friends house shopping with friends go to a friends house basically everything and this stuff doesn’t have to be with a parent it can be with a friend or whoever you want to do it with cause rights are kinda like a treat.

kia ora

today we learnt about rights and responsibilities. This was really  easy to make  and did not take very long to make. We looked at a picture that had rights and responsibilities and we  took ideas of there and we put them under where they go  for example

responsibilities

wearing a helmet when you are riding on a bike

rights

getting to go shopping
